Le Petit Cé – AOP Anjou Villages
100% Cab Franc.
The wine shows a bright and intense ruby; very dark colour.
The 1st nose is characterized by the red fruit (raspberry) and black fruit (cherry, blackberry) aromas. The 2nd nose is more complex, characterized by red fruit (cherry), black fruit (cherry), sweet spice (vanilla), coffee hints, toffee, and slight vegetal notes (green wood, blackcurrant leaf, dried muscat).
The tannins are astringent without being agressive, the black fruits are definitely favoured. An interesting bitterness can be felt on the long finish, the mouth is truly powerful.
FOOD PAIRING & SERVICE
It’s a wine for gastronomy meals, enjoy it with game (hare, venison, wild boar) and serve it at 14°C-16°C. It shows an interesting potential for ageing.
